ROSAPALOMO

The scope of work on this project was immense:  transform 4 intersections and their Miami streets lines with restaurant equipment companies into a condensed, Los Angeles Sunset Strip, circa 1987...without shutting down the businesses till shooting.

 

From billboards, to traffic lights to changing the direction of traffic, we transformed landscapes, both urban and somewhat natural (hilly landfill) into something completely different.  Once again, I was the Asst. Art Director who was assigned not only to help with the vast undertaking but to swing with the shooting crew and manage the changes to reader boards, signage, posters etc.  

 

There is a consistent rolling up of the sleeves when necessary aspect to my work as Art Director.  This has allowed me to, not only get things done, but also get to know the crew and their jobs.  Nothing helps you get something done more quickly than knowing who to ask for the type of help needed.  I've learned that the crew responds positively when they see you working hard, along side them.  Again, unafraid to break a sweat.
