Season 1
The first season of any series is the most intense, for you are establishing..well...everything. In this case, there was the pilot, whose main location we were re-creating on stage. Cut to a legal impasse in which the owner of the property no longer wants to play ball and is lawyering up to threaten that neither the interior nor the exterior can be duplicated for the show, even though the pilot has already established the look of the main "manor" of the Carrington family.
We took what was built and compared to the location and then changed it somewhat. The exterior was changed to comply with the look of the new location found, literally over the weekend we found out we lost the original. Construction crews worked 24/7, even two Production Designers were at work for about 5 episodes...and one Art Director, me!
